Hüseyin Öcal

Hüseyin Öcal has 19 years of diverse professional experience of which 13 years in financial (e.g. banking) and 6 years in nonfinancial sectors (e.g. textile, telecommunication) with hands-on experience in internal audit, credit risk, credit marketing/sales, bank branch management, revenue assurance and SOX compliance. He has national family business and multinational company experience.

Hüseyin wrote his doctorate thesis on corporate governance and earned a Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Marmara/Turkey. Additionally, he has corporate governance rating licence. He lectures entrepreneurship, family business management, and risk management/internal control/audit in MBA programs. He earned a Master of Science in Finance Degree from the University of Colorado, USA.

He ended his professional career in 2009 and started providing consulting. He advises major corporations on post-merger integration, process improvement, financial strategy, performance improvement, and family business longevity. He has a vast consulting experience in banking, telecom, textile and automotive subindustry.
